** PLEASE READ ** - QNHL - The QUALITY NHL Forum

Hello Everyone,

I think I posted a similar message awhile back but I guess it needs to be done periodically.

OK... this post is not direct at any one member.  You as a member can be the judge of your own behaviors.

It seems to me we may be losing some of the QUALITY in QNHL.  Some members are posting things that aren't of QUALITY.  Some posts are arguing back and forth about stupid stuff that would be better handled by private messages (i.e. How old are you?).

I think a good indicator of if this is something you may be doing would be to look at your posts per day.  I figured the average posts per day of our top ten posters.  That average is 4.06 posts a day.  If you are posting 20-40 posts a day, you are probably posting too much with out much QUALITY.

Please try and monitor your posting and make sure it is of the QUALITY we all are looking for.  If you fail to do so the moderators will be forced to do something to preserve the QUALITY of our forum.

I would also suggest reviewing our CODE OF CONDUCT.

Thanks & Enjoy,
John

I agree with Wingsfan. You are encouraged to post as much as you can, in my opinion, but just watch the quality of your posts, so we can keep this distinctive "quality" in our forums that makes this place special.

RE: ** PLEASE READ ** - QNHL - The QUALITY NHL Forum

I have noticed a number of bad quality posts and threads coming from some QNHL members lately. I think I may have made a few ify posts in the last week also, but lets try to have this place reflect its name: QUALITY.

Thanks for bringing this up again John.

Ryan!

I agree Wings, I too have noticed this recently.

I'll just reiterate what was said the last time this issue came up:
No one here is saying you can't post and enjoy the forums, but don't post just for the sake of rasing your post count. If you have something legitimate to add to the conversation, an opinion, a question, or maybe just something you think should be discussed along with the topic at hand then thats one thing, but one word replies and generally posts lacking a point or any merit to the discussion are a diffent thing.

With all the new users I thought it would be good to bump this thread up for them to have a look at.

Thanks,

Yeah, for the new members, Try to don't post like more than 7-8 post per day. The average of the good member is 4-5 post. I know that the prize when you're at 1000$ is interesting, but you have to deserve it.

I definitely have to agree with you - I have really noticed it the last few days or so with some new members (no names mentioned) that some people are way over posting.

For those who are new - please keep your daily posts down, no 20-40 posts in a day, and try not to post to threads that are months and months old (such as 2-3 months or older) or have had no replies in months.

I would just clarify a point: you can post in old threads if they general (things about you) or about your opinion regarding players, rules and things like that.
