2007 World Jr's

Big win for Canada over host Sweden to start the Tournament. Was not a great game for Cnada but they got the job done. Everyone was pretty average in this game and managed to come through with a shut out.
Next up for Canada is the US. I don't know too much about the American team but after a quick look at the roster it seems as thought they will have a pretty good defensive team this year. The States were upset by Germany in OT earlier today but if Canada takes them too lightly they could surprise Canada.

Yes good job Canada, I watched the game. Its good for Luc Bourdon to get the game mvp. But I think Price or Letang should have got it.

But good job Canada..

And All the Americans out there. We're taking you down tomorrow!!

The announcers were going on a lot about Price. He had a solid game but was not outstanding. He got the shut out but didn't have many quality chances against him. The defence was really good and only let in a couple of good oppurtunities and cleared any rebounds very quickly. Price was there when the team needed him but they didn't rely on him too much.

Well that was an entertaining game between Canada and the US with the 6-3 win for Canada. The speed from of the Canadians was too much for the slower Americans. Canada showed great persaverance after the States made it close (4-3) in the 3rd. An american clearly ran over Canada's goalie, there should have been a goaltender interfernece penalty but instead the U.S. scored. Canada took a penalty right after this but got their composure back scored one more plus and empty netter.
Great to see Canada get out to a 2-0 start in the tournament. This will make things tough for the States to get past the round robin with the surprising play of Germany.

Great start for Canada, bad start for the USA. 2 straight losses isn't the way you want to start out a tournament.

This has been pretty exciting hockey to watch, when it got to 3-2 I started to panic thinking the US could come back and win, but Price stood strong and Canada overtook the USA.

Good Job Boys, Bring Home The Gold!

RE: 2007 World Jr's

That was a pretty solid game for Canada today although it was against a pretty weak team in the Slovaks.
This was the wost officiated game I've seen since the final womens game of the Salt Lake City Olympics. The good news is Canada got a lot of good practice playing 2 men short. It seemed very one-sided against Canada at times with at least 4, 5 on 3 advantages for Slovakia. There were however a lot of pretty weak calls against the Slovaks which gave Canada about 13 power plays in the game.
It was an okay game and Canada won but it just didn't have a lot of flow with so many poor calls by the Referee stopping play needlessly throughout the game.
