Bertuzzi Talk
Hearing that the following teams are interested in Bertuzzi: NY Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings and possibly the NY Islanders.
Hard to believe. He is damaged goods. Atleast I got to see him play once for the Panthers... HA!!

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
Bert is now a Red Wing. Florida got a couple draft picks for him.

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
Dutchlord you can hope.
I had high hopes for Bert when he came to Florida. 7 games played, $5 million in salary, & hearing he's coming back for the last two months I lost hope.

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
that's true,I just think and hope the wings play the type of game that will bring back the old bertuzzi,he didn't have enough skilled players around him at florida

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
There were plenty of good players in Florida. He only played 7 ... that's right 7 games this seaon. So how can you say how he played? I don't think he played enough w/ the Panthers to make a statement like that.
Good Luck to both him & the Wings w/ him. Believe me I wanted to see him play more in Florida but he never made it back from the sugery recovery .
I feel Florida made a good trade. We got a young player who is doing well and draft picks.
Detriot got someone who isn't always in the game & is still trying to recover from surgery. I have heard Bert isn't always a team player and sometimes his heart isn't in it. That doesn't sound like a Wings player to me. I am a long time Wings fan, so I think I have something to base my statement on.

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
If he is healthy and I think he will be because the Wings would not have traded for him with out some assurance of health he will help the Detroit. The trade is looking even more important right now with Zetterberg out of the line up. He is only supposed to be out 3 weeks but if he is slow to recover Bertuzzi could be even more important in the Wings playoff run.

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
oke, call it a feeling then, sorry man, I didn't know he'd only played 7 games, I don't have that much knowledge of all the players and teams since I only have nhl live games for a year here.
although some people I've spoken to, were always [censored]ing at him, that he has lost his game,I never heared about the fact that he'd played so little. still the things I did see of him were amazing and he's still a great player for me,and I'm confident that this trade will benefit both him and the wings.
it's like everyone was [censored]ing at sundin a few months ago, so much leafs fans screamed that he should be traded and he was too old. I always defended him, he's one of my favorites, and he's proving his value right now. you shouldn't pressure players but show them confidence, and yes florida has good players, but they don't function as a team.the wings do, so any player will become better playing for the wings

RE: Bertuzzi Talk
They had some interesting facts about Bertuzzi's time in FLA today in the paper. I should have taken it from my folks house.
I will try to quote what I remember (ROUGHLY):
Salary - $5 million (I think it was $5.6)
Games Played - 7 (That I remember to well)
Cost per point - $700 thousand (Was closer to $800 actually)
Plus/Minus - minus 4
Was suppose to be out 6-8 weeks for surgery. Missed 19 weeks by the time he was traded.
I'm sorry dollar amounts aren't exact like I said.
