So was I when I said Fedoruk, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Hal Gill(Toronto) with his 6'7" 250 pound frame is a guy to reckon with on the ice at all times. As you can image he is quite hard to push around.

Gill may be big but he's not an enforcer. He fights guys much smaller than him and that's where he gets the few wins he has. Half his fights are against Chris Neil it seems. The one time he fought a guy close to his size (Chara) he got absolutely demolished.

Well the problem is most of the players are smaller them him. And the fight he had with Chara he really wasn't demolished from what I remember.

RE: Best Enforcer in the NHL

According to hockeyfights.com Gill only has one decisive win in the last 2 seasons and it was against Mathew Barnaby who is 6 inches shorter than Gill. Gill has lost to Chara, Neil, was cut by Adam Mair. Most of his fights seem to end up with almost no punchs being throw. Gill just wraps up the other guy until a linesman comes in. I think he is the least threateing big guy in the league.

RE: Best Enforcer in the NHL

Then you must be remembering a different fight. Chara landed a ton of rights to Gill's face and cut him open pretty good. He was bleeding quite a bit by the time he got dropped. !00% win for Chara, no contest at all. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that I think we're mistaking what an enforcer is. Lots of the players being named in here aren't enforcers, they're regular players who drop the gloves from time to time. An enforcer is a guy who's sole job is to fight to stick up for teammates or to attempt to swing the momentum. They usually log very little ice time. I'm talking guys like Laracque, Boogaard, Boulerice, McGrattan etc.

RE: Best Enforcer in the NHL

Chara isn't an enforcer, c'mon guys not everybody who fights is an enforcer. Domi was certainly better when he was younger but he was by far not the best enforcer. Look to guys like PJ Stock and Bob Probert if you want to see someone really tough. A lot of the guys these days can't compare.

RE: Best Enforcer in the NHL

I'm not saying Domi wasn't a good fighter, just that he's far from being the best.
