RE: Better brand

6 in one hand.... half dozen in the other. It is all a matter of personal preference. IMO.

RE: Better brand

Personally, I think it's more of a perference of what you like and what feels comfortable to you. I know I prefer Nike Bauer stuff for the most part, with very few things that are other brands.

RE: Better brand

In my opion. I really like Bauer stuff. I like the XXXX series. I got xxxx skates and i really like them. I use bauer helment, shouldies, shinpads and skates. I could not ware ccm, or rbk skates, becuase i can hardly stand in them. I would like to try one of those ccm U+ sticks.

Oh and it will no longer be nikebauer. Bauer has bought it back and now it is Bauer.

RE: Better brand

You're right Jayme.  I think I heard it's going to be 2010 or something like that when it goes back to Bauer on the equipment.  If it's sooner, it would probably be late 2009 when we see just Bauer on their equipment.

The only other brands that I would probably go with besides Nike Bauer would be Mission (have Mission skates) or Reebok. Mission for breezers and RBK for helmet. Besides those few things, I have to go with Nike Bauer especially when it comes to sticks.

RE: Better brand

Speaking of Nike Bauer...I don't know if anybody else has heard this but Nike Bauer (soon Bauer) has bought Mission Itech. I read this in an article last month so it will be interesting to see what happens to the Mission Itech hockey line. I think I read that there might be some items that will have the Mission name and others will have the Bauer name. I think the Mission inline hockey line will have the biggest change because it may or may not be around anymore (I believe it's the biggest line for Mission). I guess we'll see what will happen at some point soon here, probably within the next year or so.

RE: Better brand

Yes Mission is a big inline company. So im wondering if it will now be all bauer inline or what? But as for the name change. I heard the new Nike Bauer one95 stick (Which I heard good things about) will be the last thing NikeBauer produces with the "Nike" name on it. I have already seen picture with things gone back to just the bauer logo.

As for the sticks. I used the one90 back over a year ago (bought it in March/ 07) And I did like it, It lasted quite awhile for a stick. Lasted until November 07. Thats also without playing hockey for 3 months. But I cant really complain with that. I would like to try a new one95 stick, we will see, I need a new one anyways. But for me the sticks I like are the Warrior. I really like the Dolomites.

RE: Better brand

You know, I'm not sure. I want to say that they may keep some things but it hadn't been decided on yet as far as the Mission inline hockey line.

I have a couple one50 sticks (one new and one used that I bought) that I'm hoping to test out this winter out on the ponds if I ever get out, and maybe some rec hockey as well. I also bought a TPS stick last week as well that I'm hoping to get some use out of this winter.
