Blackhawks' Havlat out two weeks with sprained right ankle
CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago right wing Martin Havlat, who began Saturday leading the NHL with 13 points, will be sidelined for two-to-three weeks with a sprained right ankle, according to the Blackhawks.
Havlat suffered the injury in the third period of Chicago's 5-4 loss at Dallas on Friday night. It was the only game this season in which he was held without a point.
Havlat, who had seven goals and six assists in seven games, underwent an MRI in Chicago on Saturday.
He was acquired from Ottawa with forward Bryan Smolinski in a three-way trade involving San Jose in July. Havlat missed 58 games last season with the Senators while recovering from shoulder surgery.
The Blackhawks recalled forward Brandon Bochenski and defenseman Danny Richmond from Norfolk of the AHL on Saturday.
