Blue Jackets sign Conklin
Here's a little something for the Blue Jacket Fans:
The Blue Jackets signed former Edmonton Oilers goaltender Ty Conklin as a backup to Pascal LeClaire.
Conklin, 30, went 8-5-1 and allowed an average of 2.80 goals in 18 games with the Oilers last season. In 60 games with the Oilers over five years, he has a record of 27-19-5 and a goals-against average of 2.49.

conklin is good solid back up because if your goalie does go done i wouldnt mind yelling done the bench ty get in there if it was another goalie id be scared but i hav confidence in TY

i think he'll be a great back up goalie in columbus. for some reason, i can see him in a blue jackets jersey. he should probably get some more ice time in columbus than he did in edmonton since there were 3 goalies in edmonton.

Seriously, I hope Pascal LeClaire is ready to step up as the N.1 goaltender, because Ty Conklin has prove in the past he can't do this job effectively. From what I saw of the oilers and Conklin last year, I'm still doubtful he's a NHL goaltender.
In my opinion he's in the same category as Anderson, Ouellet and others

I figured his nhl career was over but leave it to Columbus to prove me wrong. I don't think this is a good signing for them at all.
