Bonk out dumont in?
According to Gabriel Morency of Team 990, the Montreal Canadiens are close to trade Radek Bonk to the Washington Capitals for a draft pick that would free up cap space to sign J.P. Dumont wich they reportedly offered a 4yr/10m$ contract. And to the same Morency again, coach Carbonneau is willing to let Markov and Ryder go for more offensive and defensive help. Just rumors but i will keep you posted on this one.
i hope we get dumont bonk is not that good so get dumont please bg
i would not like to get ride of markov and ryder because are good players.

That would be interesting to see if anything pans out at all. It definitely seems like some interesting moves that they are rumored to be doing.

Trade Ryder to Anaheim for Vishnevski! DO IT!

RE: Bonk out dumont in?
I definitively prefer Dumont than Bonk. This could be a good deal. But last year, BOnk was a big piece, with Begin, of the Pk. ANd for the Rumor of Markov and Ryder, I find it ridiculous. Markov is our best D. He's like our Qb on the PP. Let's see what will happend!

RDS announced earlier that the Montreal Canadiens had talked with JP Dumont, but didn't offer contract yet. Also, Radek Bonk value, with his big contract is a big ZERO. The draft pick should be a 7th rounder in 2010.

HABS CONTACT DUMONT'S AGENT.
the Montreal Canadiens contacted the agent for UFA winger J.P. Dumont. Discussions were "good" although the team didn't make a contract offer. Thus far only one unnamed team has made a serious offer for Dumont.
Spector's Note: Hat tip to Claude Rivest and "Ross" for sending this in. Again, if the Habs were to sign Dumont, they'll have to shed some salary elsewhere to free up enough cap space to allow for flexibility during the season.
