Bruins sign Savard to five-year, $20M deal
Centre Marc Savard has a new home for the 2006-07 season, signing a five-year $20 million contract with the Boston Bruins.
Savard, 28, became an unrestricted free agent on Saturday after a career season with the Atlanta Thrashers where he scored 28 goals and 97 points.
The former Oshawa General has played in seven NHL seasons with the Thrashers, Calgary Flames and New York Rangers, scoring 133 goals and 401 points in 503 games.

Boston looks ot be making a Push, but they forgot one big thing,
IF they got rid of Zhamov anf his contract they could free up some space and money for another UFA. (Geurin)
Boston is a totally different team now

wow overpayed IMO, the reason he had the season he has was because he centered kovalchuk and hossa, who will he center in boston? i think this signing will come back to haunt them.
