GENERAL RULES:
1. You will not start a new topic if the topic already exists. Always search for an existing topic to reply to, and only start a new one if you are sure the topic hasn't been discussed recently
2. You will post your topic in the relevant forum. You are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.
3. You will be tolerant and respectful of your fellow visitors. Criticism of ideas and opinions is welcome, but you may not attack other QNHL.com members in any way.
4. You will not double post. You are able to edit your posts if you have additional information to add before anyone has responded. Simply click the "Edit" button that appears next to your post.
5. You will refrain from posting religious or political topics. Such topics are unwanted on these forums as they generally get out of hand quickly and lead to arguements and hatred amongst members. There are other forums on the Internet suited for exactly this type of discussion.
6. You should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated.
7. You will not use the board to advertise any product or site. You are not allowed to post unsolicited advertising on the board or through private messages. If you have a website or business, you may include a link to your site in your signature ONLY.
8. You will not play the role of a moderator. If you have a problem with a post, use the "Report This Post" button, rather than playing the parent. More often than not, that causes more problems than it fixes.
9. You are allowed to attach some types of files to your posts. This includes images files (.bmp, .png and .jpg) with a limit of 1MB per post. Note that you can also upload video files up to 4MB per post (.avi or .wmv). You can also provide links for videos in other places in case you would like to share them with QNHL members.

SIGNATURE/AVATAR:
10. Avatars and Signatures are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect to decency.
11. The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 50.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
12. Your signature image will not exceed 500 pixels in width and 150 pixels in height. For those unfamiliar with pixels, they are roughly half a millimetre in size. Images wider than 500 pixels will stretch the screen out to the side too far on many monitors. Your signature image will not exceed 100 KB.
13. You are allowed up to three lines of text in your signature if you don't include an image in it, and only one line if you include one.

COPYRIGHT/PRIVACY
14. You will provide a source link or credit for all stories and rumors posted. Please do not post the whole article.You can generally consider that anything you find online is copyrighted. So simply include a brief synopsis or the first paragraph along with the link.
15. You will not disclose any other member's email, real name, address, phone number, IP address, or other personal information. This includes the posting contents of emails and private messages without the sender's consent. Do not bring personal disputes into the forums.
16. Links to Images/videos are not permitted unless they are from:
-your personal videos/images
-the league (eg NHL, AHL, CHL)
-an official team site
-an officially recognized players association (eg NHLPA, PHPA)
-a media site known to have broadcast rights (eg tsn, OLN, MSN-NBC)
Video content is provided by these sites for personal use, and may not to be posted for redistrubition edited or in orginal form on our site through file sharing servers.

POLICING
The QNHL team reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

Statements or postings which violate the above terms will be deleted upon discovery. Users who violate the rules above may receive a warning. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, a user may lose his account temporarily or permanently. Account suspensions will be made at the sole discretion of the QNHL team. Users may not have more than one account.

Any user posting on the QNHL.com message boards implicitly agrees to these rules regardless of whether they have been read or not.
