Couldn't believe this. I figured his days in the nhl were done. Never expected to see him back, especially with Carolina. While I'm sure this will be a depth move I still can't believe they signed him. He was always just a decent fourth liner but then he took the lockout off and didn't play at all and it cost him big time. He couldn't get a regular shift in Carolina and so he lost interest in fighting. Traded to St.Louis in the Weight deal and he got beat down by Shelley then proceeded to trash the dressing room. Fought a teammate in practice the next day and was released from the team. Rough year for him. Gotta be tough to be traded, have the team win the cup then be signed back. The only good thing about this signing is that they say he's working hard, maybe he'll be able to skate next season.

I would definitely say that's a rough year for him. Maybe being able to come back and play with Hurricanes will help him.

If he even gets to play. He can play either wing but I just can't see him beating out Craig Adams or Chad LaRose for a spot when they both bring so much more to the table than he does.
