RE: Canucks Lines
however the lines end up, it looks ok to start the season.
At the deadline, we can always pick up another RW

RE: Canucks Lines
First Line:
Sedin Sedin Naslund
The Sedin's haven't been nearly as dominant without Markus Naslund to their right. Naslund gets many more scoring chances when he's playing with the Sedin's. The Snazzy line is going to supply most of the offense for this team. If the Canucks force a team to play their best defensive players against one of the best lines in hockey, other lines will be up against weaker defensive lines which will hopefully create more chances.
Second line:
Pyatt Morrison Kesler
Other than Pyatt and the Snazzy line, all other forwards are struggling offensively. Maybe Pyatt in the slot will help free up some open ice for two good skaters like Morrison and Kesler.
Third line:
Burrows Choinard Cooke
Burrows has been the only player on the bottom six who has been impressive, and Choinard has played smart albeit unimpressive hockey. Cooke hasn't been his usual self this year.
Fourth line:
Bulis Santala Green
Josh Green has played hard this year, but he hasn't got the talent to play on a higher line, he's most effective hear. Bulis is a waste, he's a bottom six winger, with top six potential, and fourth line hands. The fourth line is where Bulis fits best, he has terrible finish, and he plays somewhat irresponsible hockey in the offensive zone resulting in a lot of turnovers. Tommi Santala is more useful than Trevor Linden, and is a good face off man.

That splits up Kesler and Burrows, who have been pretty good together.
If Bulis is a 4th line player, he is the only one to put up 40 Points on it. He isn't a forth line player, at worst, he is third line like he was in Montreal. He is streaky, but I'm hoping he has a better season than last with more ice time. So 25-25-50 would be expected with more ice time, possibly more?

I don't think Burrows' impressive play is because of Ryan Kesler. Think of how Burrows' corner battles and hard skating will compliment a big man in front of the net like Choinard. An aggressive little agitator like Cooke to their right wouldn't hurt either.
If Kesler and Burrows have been so great togethor, where are the offensive numbers the team needs from Kesler?
Bulis was a third liner in Montreal, and he should be here as well. The problem is where are the Nucks going to put Cooke if Bulis is on the third line. Cooke's terrible play of late may dictate that the fourth line is the line he deserves, but Bulis hasn't been impressive either. He's been irresponsible with the puck, and is trying to play a far to complex game. A good dump and chase line is what he needs to be on, not with puck carriers like Morrison and Kesler. Twenty goals was a career year last year for Bulis, and just like he did in Montreal, he hasn't shown quality finish.

Bulis should be a third liner, but because we lack offensive forwards, he's a second liner here. Cooke is making too much to be a 4th liner. Bulis has hit 40 points a couple of times in the past, on the third line. If we can pick up another forward, and Bulis moves down to the third, we're in better shape.
Burrows works hard, and Kes and him have been creating chances, but haven't been getting the bounces.
