Crosby and Ovechkin Rookie Cards

I thought it would be a good investment to buy some Crosby and Ovechkin rookie cards. I spent about $400 on eBay (it gets addictive).

Does anyone here have much experience in card collecting? Any idea on what kind of price gain I can expect on these cards?

Actually, I collected quite a bit for a while, but then I stopped because it takes up alot of room, hehe. Depending on which brands you bought will determine any gain. What brands did you buy?

Malkin um i think it could be worthalot but it all depends on what kind of card but still it could be worth some green bullets lol som cash.

The sad thing is all my cards are just in boxes in the closet and they never even get looked at.
