Crosby/Malkin/Staal
With the insane depth the Penguins have at center, do you think it's likely that they'll trade one of them in the near future (most likely Staal) for help on the wing or defense? Perhaps Nashville could trade one of their prominent blueline prospects + something else for Staal? Nashville needs a top center and Staal could be it.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
They wouldn't have draft Staal, to exchange him before the season start. They would have draft Toews of Kessel or exchange the pick for a D.
The next time you won't see MALKIN, CROSBY and STAAL in the same NHL team, is when Pittsburgh won't be able to affort the three.
*BTW, I think Crosby will be move to wings on day*

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
The team that posses all 3 of them at once will be a team that will be undefeatable. We might be looking at a Champion in around 2-3 years. The Penguins have the prospects, they just need the experience. All 3 won't last long on Pittsburgh. Probally only around 3-5 years, but imagin what those 3-5 years will be like.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
they do have some insane depth on C, when they all hit UFA its going to be horrable for them, the pens have Alot of young talented youth, there going to be a Terrifying team in a few years if they can keep these guys undercontract

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
I don' thitnk that any of these players will be leaving for a while.
Lemuiex is know as a great mentor for the younger players and has done well talking to and teaching the younger guys. HE even let Crobsy frigin live with him in his huge mansion until he found an apartmnet he liked.
I think they won't leave until pitt. can't afford them. And it will be MAlkin most likely, unless he can prove to be as phsyical as Staal.
Next, younger players are flexible, and both Crosby and Staal have reported several times that they can and will play on the wings, (I belive i read some where that malkin actuly enjoys playing on the off wing (left) more than any other postion, but i'm not to sure about this).
THe PEns have no problem here, they will move one, if not 2 of these guys to the wing and be fine.
As far as a championship I think they need a better coach and some depth, gritty D-man, (Kuba, Witt, McKee) who knows, they will have more cap room for some D cause the fab three here are all still making entry contracts.
Plus they are laking some physical players to line up with Crosby, Malkin and Staal.
But you never know, if all three of these guys and Fleury play even near there potenial then I can see the pens in the playoffs next year.

I think all three of these guys will be on the same team for awhile, and at that time it will be because they can't afford them. The Pens know they have a future dynasty on their hands if they play their cards right, and they wouldnt want to ruin it.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
All these guys are future stars and crosby is a star now but i can see staal or crosbymoving to wing because if you remember eric staal was a center and then move to wing

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
First i agree with you that one of them can move over to the wing because they are new and they cant be cocky, and second eric stall is still a center.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal
In my opinion which is prolly wrong but i think Malkin might be traded, I hope not tho I would love to see these three stars line up at center to start a game if 2 of them converted 2 wings and played together it will be a killer line
