First i agree with you that one of them can move over to the wing because they are new and they cant be cocky, and second eric stall is still a center.

We don'T talk of ERic STaal GOSabres3, WE talk of Jordan STaal, his little brother.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal

The Pens will do their best to keep all 3 for a long time based on one simple wide spread belief for hockey coaches, in order to win you have to be stron down the middle. Staal, Crosby and Malkin gives them that depth to roll 3 lines, and not tire their 1st 2, while staying very competitve. You dont need top notch wingers now. If they can tie some money up with these 3 and Fluery, which I feel is a posibility down the road, there going to be a hell of a team.

They were talking about E. Staal, as an example of a center turned winger (which probably wasn't the best example I don't think). Toronto Maple Leafs Eric Lindros, Nik Antropv, Alexander Steen, Kyle Wellwood, and Matt Stajan are all originally centers, but because of depth at C they played the wing at times.

In the Pens case, I think Crosby and Malkin will be the centers on the first and second line. Staal isn't as NHL ready as those two from what I gather, so he would either be 3rd line C or play the wing on the first or second line (probably 2nd to add increased depth throughout the lines).

At any rate, I don't think any of the three will be traded until the contracts start running out. While they're cheap, the Pens will keep what they have an take a run at the playoffs, ultimately a run at the Cup. These players will be expensive, but teams will pay for them, so there is no rush to trade them already.

RE: Crosby/Malkin/Staal

ya they undoubtedly willb e strong up the middle but for a player to sign after there contract runs out they will have to be happy with the team and if there not happy with the team they wont sign and I dony think any of these Centers wanna be a 3rd line center for to long.....so it may be hard to resign unless the change there positions
