Theres some talk around sens fourms that D.Alfie might be traded. Is that a good idea? What do you think the sens can get for him?

Heres something im looking at

To Edmonto:
Alfedsson, Varada

To Ottawa:
Smyth

That would be good players both ends. Alfie and Smyth are both franchise players, and the sens can get another pure goal scorer and Canadien, meaning the cup is just that much more important then it is to Alfie.

Alfredsson worth way more than Smyth. But if this trade make Ottawa keep Chara and Redden, I would think about it.

Im also thinking... there were rumors that Colorado wasnt going to resign Joe Sakic... Alfie for Sakic might be another possibility.

i dont know if edmonton would do it, ryan smyth is like Mr.Edmonton there i dont know if edmonton would give it for a player who chokes in the playoffs, Vs smyth who contributues during the season and playoffs, theres no question alfie is better during the regular season but in the playoffs he just vanishes...
