Diving - It must End Now

I am guessing you all witnessed one of the most embarrassing and lopsided officiated series in playoff history. Especially game 7. The bruins played with integrity heart honor and everything else that forms a team that comes together in their most desperate times. Missing their two top scorers bergeron and kobasew and glenn murray and ward due to cheap shots from the habs. All I know is officiating in montreal is out of control. The bruins dominated games 2-7 and everytime montreal couldnt get something going they would take a dive including Markov, Kostytsen brothers, Hamerlik, KOVALEV, lapierre, plekanic and someone you wouldnt expect carey price. and we would be called for interference every single time. Also the kostytsen brothers dove about 6 times and nothing was called miraculously in montreal even though it was picture perfectly clear. Boston is a 5 on 5 team and montreal had 3 key 4 on 4 goals due to diving calls ( especially the call on chara for holding after the fact that kostytsen tripped or dove over his own player resulting in a 3-0 go ahead goal in gm 7 putting the bruins down too much to come back this time). ( the bruins are at a disadvantage on 4on4 due to sppeed). The bruins were better on the PK in the whole series than 4 on 4, thats how much thwe bruins dominated. I'm tired of all of it and it needs to stop because beleive it or not the bruins deserved a second round spot, and its a disgrace to what hockey stands for, being tough. If you watch ovechkin he gets nailed and bullied in front of the net all day he never flops, you cant trip a hockey player cmon, now thats someone I truely admire today being a die hard crosby fan when both exploded into the league. NOw why would you flop when you can score if you stay up on your feet. I also asked the players coming out of the ritz carlton in boston about diving and no one had an answer, lapierre had a smurk on his face though, I know what that meant.

And another thing, booing the American National Anthem is absolutely a disgrace and completely offensive. I almost didn't watch game 7 becuase of that, if i was a player i would have left before the game, thats the one thing that pumps me up and i most look forward to before playing or watching hockey. The nhl should penalize any home team for booing any national anthem before a game, the nhl should be embarrased for not addressing this publicly and enforcing consequences.

Montreal games must be reviewed after this year due to a lack of calls on diving, it was reviewed against a game with sean avery and the same must be done here.

RE: Diving - It must End Now

I agree, it seems if things didn't go there way, they were a dive away from a powereplay. i thought the league was going to come down hard on diving and suspend guys which they should. It's not easy being a ref let alone trying to decide if it was a dive or not.
