He has to be the hardest person in the world to fire. A couple years ago CBC wasn't happy with him and there were rumours he wasn't returning. The fan following is just so huge though, I'd like to see them try to fire him. Even if you're not in agreement with him, you have to appreciate the simple "I'm right, you're wrong" tone that Cherry speaks with, it's fun. Have to feel sorry for Ron sometimes but I'm sure he gets used to the abuse.

I found an interresting fact on Don Cherry.

Don Cherry, prior to being a analyst or a coach, was a hockey player (Defenseman). He only played one game in the NHL, with the Bruins, and it was in the playoff!

Less than 10 hockey player has accomplished this! Way to go Don! Thumb_up1
