RE: EA NHL 07
For some reason they decided not to show anything at this years E3, either they are extremely confidant their product will be the best hockey game out there or they aren't too pleased with how the build currently looks.
2K Sports' NHL 2K7 did have a booth up, but from what I understand all they showed was one video, which could already be seen on the internet.

Cool. I played 2k6 yesterday and I think its no where's near as good as EA does it. I do however like their Goalie Control system. Very fun I thought.

RE: EA NHL 07
Yea, I wasn't a big fan of the 2k series at first, but it grew on me. 2K7 has a lot of cool featues and I never thought I would say it about a 2k game but I'm actually looking forward to it. The only downside is the version they're releasing for the PS2 is the crappy version with most of the cool stuff left out so you need a 360 or a PS3 to get the better version.

RE: EA NHL 07
Without giving too much away yet, let’s just say that the goalie in our game right now moves and saves EXACTLY like NHL goalie we had do the mocap.
Yes! That's what I want to hear! Goaltender has been the worst part of NHL 2006.
(this smilie is exactly how I feel!)

RE: EA NHL 07
NHL 06 was incredibly successful. It was a fun game to work on and a fun game to play. As a matter of fact, we may have made it too fun…at the expense of authenticity. Authenticity has been the key word during the design and implementation of NHL 07 Next Gen. This applies to every area of the game, but most importantly gameplay.
This is so what I wanted to hear, there may be hope for this franchise yet. I'm going to remain skeptical though, with EA's track record of stretching the truth to their liking, I'll beleive this when I see it.
