RE: EA NHL 07
Ya, the only thing that will be different is the graphics and gameplay. They'll put the same rosters and such on both versions.

RE: EA NHL 07
Yep, you just wont have access to the next-gen features. From the way they stack up, I think I'm going to wait to buy a PS3 and just get a 360 when they drop the price to compete with the launch of the PS3, plus I really like the controller setup for 07 on the 360, should make accurate shooting a lot easier.

RE: EA NHL 07
The ps3 is going to cost more than the xbox 360, they won't need to drop the price to compete with it. The price will turn off a lot of potential customers.

RE: EA NHL 07
I'm kind of dissapointed with NHL 07 on ps2.
The dekes from last year are gone for some reason (like the Bure kick-the-puck move).
The shootout "mini game" is absolute garbage. Why couldn't they just have an actual shootout option (NHL 99 did)
The hitting is better this year. I think the best hitting was in 2002.
But I just needed a hockey game to consume all of my spare time.

RE: EA NHL 07
Yea, IMO getting the current gen version of 07 just isn't worth it, all the cool stuff is in the 360/PS3 version.
Gotta agree on going 2k for current-gen, current-gen EA games may look better than 2k games, but 2k has a heck of a lot more options to get the game just the way you want it (I always feel like the pace of EA's games is too quick, even when I manually try to slow the game down myself) and much better online options (especially if you're planning on playing in/starting an online league).

For those who care, the PC demo for NHL 2007 was released yesterday.
You can download it here.

RE: EA NHL 07
I think I'm gonna give the 2k7 series a try. EA just isn't cutting it for me.
