RE: Favorite Players
I'm a fan of Lidstrom, Thornton, and Luongo. There are a ton of players that I like a lot, but those are probably my current top 3. However, Cam Neely remains my #1 all-time favorite player.

RE: Favorite Players
Peter Forsberg- when healthy the most complete player in the game. His offense is among the elite. More than a point per game over his career. However, most people forget about how good he really is defensively. He is a very good two way player. He plays hard every night and even throws body checks while he has the puck.
Erik Cole- Plays a similar game to Forsberg's. We all know he isn't as gifted, but he is more of a goal scorer than Peter is. He isn't afraid of the physical game and is tough as nails.
Sidney Crosby- after the 2005-06 season, Crosby wouldn't have made my list, but because he improved dramatically in his face-off abilities and defense after only one year, he makes the list for me. His ability to dominate a game is just unreal.
Alexander Ovechkin- this guy is Peter Forsberg but he shoots right and is a natural goal scorer. I love the physical game this guy brings to the ice. He plays solid defense, although his plus minus in 06-07 was terrible.
Ryan Smyth- I wish he could have stayed in Edmonton. He is John LeClair except in a smaller frame and lacks about 35 pounds. The punishment this guy takes in front of the net to score a goal is everything that a team player represents.
Roberto Luongo- If he could have started his career on a team like the Devils, then he would have numbers similar to Brodeur. He loves the workload and is always in position to make the big save.
Henrik Lundqvist-the Rangers do not make the playoffs without him. He single handedly took them to the playoffs in 06. He's only 24. A great career ahead of him.
Anze Kopitar- he will one day hit 100 points. Has excellent speed for a man his size. He will learn to use his size to his advantage and will dominate in the future.
Scottie Upshall-I love his grit and ability to , yes, put up points. Likes the physical game. A team player. I put Scott Hartnell in the same category.
Dion Phaneuf- Possesses a Cannon from the point, plus he loves to hit people. What's not to love?
Marian Gaborik-please stay healthy. The most explosive goal scorer in the game. He is the fastest skater in the NHL as well. He can easily top 90+ points on a defensive minded Wild team.
all- time
Gordie Howe-the Howe hattrick is enough said. Loved the physical game.
Mario Lemeiux-if it weren't for cancer, he might have surpassed Gretzky's records. The definition of perseverance.
Bernie Parent- In my mind still holds the record for wins in a season by a goaltender. The shootout rule is a joke.
John LeClair-impossible to move in front of the net. Loved to score garbage goals. My favorite Flyer.
