The Calgary Flames announced Thursday the signing of defenceman Anders Eriksson to a two-year contract.
As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Eriksson has played 491 NHL games with Detroit, Chicago, Florida, Toronto, and Columbus. Over his ten-year NHL career, he has registered 21 goals, 132 assists for 153 points and 204 penalty minutes.
Erickson was originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round (22nd overall) in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft and was part of the Detroit team that won the 1998 Stanley Cup.
Wow, ANOTHER defenseman? I could swear they have like 10 on the roster now.
