Team Captain Peter Forsberg made his return to the ice last night. He wasn't expected to play last night. In the morning skate he skated with coaches & trainers rather than with his linemates.

Even his return wasn't enough to stop the Flyers skid. The Panthers beat the Flyers 3-1. The Flyers haven't won a game now since Nov. 30th (they are on a 10 game losing streak... OUCH!).

Florida got goals from Olesz (30 secs into the game), Stumpel, & Van Ryn. The Flyers only goal came in the second and was a power play goal scored by Kyle Calder.

Flyer's goalie Antero Niittymaki was on a 16 game starting streak. He left after two periods becuase of a slight hip strain. He was replaced by Robert Esche.

Florida goalie Ed Belfour had 23 saves on the night.
