Game Day Thread
I think it would be great to have a game day thread. List the games that are playing that day. We could then trash-talk (the healthiest part of the game!!) each other when we play each others teams. I don't think it would be necessary to have each game have it's own thread. It also might bring us a bit together by the members giving game updates to go with all that trash talk!!

RE: Game Day Thread
I like the idea, but I don't like the trash part of it. We can have a subforum in the general discussion forum titled "Game Day Threads", and people will talk about the games, and give some predictions, and discuss the games after they finish. But I don't want it to become a trash talk, where people talk just to talk...What do other people think?

RE: Game Day Thread
I like the idea. Posts going back and forth before, during and after a game would be good.

RE: Game Day Thread
I think if we keep the trash talk on a friendly scale then it wouldn't be so bad. It has to be friendly because mean trash talking is just mean. I also think it would solidify the hockey fan with running updates.
On another note, Doug Weight played his 1000th game. The Oilers gave him a pre-game ceremony and then proceeded to kick the Blues butts 6-3!!

RE: Game Day Thread
I think the idea would be fine as long as the trash talking is kept to issues about the game at hand and not cheap shots on a city or it's fans or just outright vulgar personal attacks on another member.
These could be made in that team's respective subsection or like GSA said, he could make a section specifically for it.

outright vulgar personal attacks on another member.
I agree, I don't think that would be nice. It has to be fun and friendly.

RE: Game Day Thread
I would like to have some rules to make sure people use this new subforum well. What do you suggest?

RE: Game Day Thread
I think it should have the same rules as any other sub-forum. No vulgarities, no cussing and swearing and only good-natured ribbing, no slanderous, racist or derogatory comments.
Surely others must have input regarding this.

There's not really anything else we can add to the rules. Otis pretty much summed them up. I think they're fair.
LET'S GO!!!!
