After falling 0-6-0 to start the 2007-08 NHL regular-season, the Atlanta Thrashers have fired head coach Bob Hartley.
Hartley, who won a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001, guided a disappointing Thrashers team to six straight losses to open the new campaign. Atlanta has scored just nine times and given up 27 goals.

According to The Canadian Press, Thrashers GM Don Waddell will be taking over as coach on an interim basis.
