Hockey Returns to So Fla

Well the Panthers played their first home pre-season game today. It was good to be back at the arena for a game. It was a noon game so there was next to no-one there. The Panthers beat the Blackhawks 3-2. Jolkinen scored two & Panther hopefull Anthony Stewart scored one. New Panther Corey Murphy had assists on all three goals. The first goal Noah Welch got an assist also. The Panthers out shot the hawks 32-16. Carig Anderson played in net so I am hoping that Volkun will be in net against the Thrashers.

The Cats are looking good!! I am going again tomorrow against the Thrashers.

They are definitely a dangerous team with the addition of Vokoun. I really think that Florida or Carolina will be the team to beat in their division. Tampa doesn't have the defense to compete and Atlanta is too streaky and didn't make any improvements over the summer.

Yeah Volkun is great. The other young/new prospects are looking good too.

Shoot Corey Murphy assisted on all three goals. Thats awesome.
