Holmstrom is out indefinitely

DETROIT (AP) - Forward Tomas Holmstrom is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury and will be replaced in the Detroit Red Wings lineup by right wing Darryl Bootland.

Bootland was recalled Monday from the Wings' Grand Rapids Griffins minor-league affiliate.

Detroit re-signed Holmstrom to a three-year deal on Feb. 17. In his 11th National Hockey League season, all with the Red Wings, he has 151 goals and 190 assists in 684 games. This season, he has 26 goals and 20 assists.

Bootland is the Griffins' all-time leader in penalty minutes with 1,027 in 281 games. This season he has 17 goals and 12 assists for 29 points and 185 penalty minutes in 56 games.

The good news could be that hopefully his replacement is a good player. The Griffins are a strong team.

This is bad news for the Wings though.

the griffins? are they getting a player from that team?
we could use it, 7 key players injured, damn and hasek's out to.
I hope at least holstrom will be back this weekend
