Hurricanes' goaltender sent

Quote:
The Carolina Hurricanes sent struggling goaltender John Grahame to Albany of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Grahame, 32, was scheduled to join Albany in time for the River Rats' AHL game against Syracuse on Friday night.

The goaltender is 4-6-1 while allowing an average of 3.83 goals with a .875 save percentage in 13 games. In his last appearance, he allowed three goals on 14 shots before being pulled in the second period of the Hurricanes' loss to the New York Islanders on Monday.

Grahame signed with the Hurricanes in the offseason following their 2006 Stanley Cup title. He went 10-13-2 with a 2.85 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage last season.

RE: Hurricanes' goaltender sent

Has Grahame ever NOT struggled? I remember how horrible he used to be for the Lightning and now I'm not surprised he can't play well in front of a Carolina team that isn't exactly known for having a great defense.
