I have never recieved the right answer for this question

Name a player who has played for 3 different teams and has only played in one State.

It is possible that there is more than 1 answer but I only know of 1 player that has done this. If no one gets it in the next day I will put up some clues.

My guess is Mike Dunham who was just signed by the Islanders as the backup goalie to Rick DiPietro.

No Dunham has played for 4 other teams. This player has only played for 3 teams but has only played in one state. You are on the right track with the Islanders and Rangers.

The answer is Pat LaFontaine, 8 Seasons in Long Island, 6 in Buffalo and 1 as a Ranger in 97-98. Born in St. Louis he is American playing all in the state of New York.
