I used to ref for little kids
I used to ref for little kids, but the pay wasnt
good, they only payed me 10$ a game, i could
have done better reffing teenagers.. the only
thing bad about ref'ing for kids is that they dont
listen to you lol...

RE: I used to ref for little kids
Hehe,
Very true!
Kids are hard to handle and you didn't indeed get sufficient amount of money! So a good step taken

I guess you would have to take comments from coaches and parents alike in the stands. And also take crap from kids. I guess the pay would be better as the higher levels you ref.

I coached a team full of 5th graders when I was a Freshmen in High School. It was one of the most awesome and rewarding experiences of my life.

RE: I used to ref for little kids
If you're good with kids then it's a whole lot of fun. If hanging out with a bunch of kids that all seem to need your attention all at once doesn't sound like a good time, then probably not...

RE: I used to ref for little kids
I hated being a ref. I've been coaching for about 5 years now (I'm a sophmore in College), including the last 2 for my old high school. It's been a lot of fun, a lot more than reffing

I would imagine that reffing sucks because nobody likes refs...NOBODY.
