good signing by the islanders. guerin can come right in and play a similar style to what ryan smyth and jason blake brought to this team.

The pricetag is absolutely absurd.

Guerin had a hard enough time earning the $2M salary he earned last year come playoff time. Now he's getting $4.5M. Ridiculous.

Yeah seems pretty high to me as well. I think they must have been worried about everyone who left and needed to go well above market value to get a big name to go to Long Island.

oops... for some reason I thought he was getting paid $4.5M for two years, not each year... yea almost $5M for Guerin is way too much!
