RE: Jaromir Jagr

She is hot. Good job Yammi (as Don Cherry used to call him)

I say Jagr is the best active player, the best player in the past 10 years, and the 2nd best all-time after, of course, Mario.

RE: Jaromir Jagr

What?????? Jagr might be in the top 15 or 20. He is the 2nd best Pen ever but maybe not for long. Jagr has been a very good player. I think along with Forsberg Jagr has been the best player over the last 10 years. Although you could make a case for Sakic as well.

I think we should give Jagr credit, I think he has been one of the best players over the last 10 yrs. He averages 1.29 pts a game, that's pretty good I think. And yes, Sakic has been great too but did he win the scoring title 5 times?

Now on Sakic's behalf, he is one of the best players in the last 10 also. He's been with the same team his whole career, led them to 2 Stanley Cup championships and how many division titles. Mind you he did have another great with him along the way in Peter Forsberg.

LET'S GO!!!!

RE: Jaromir Jagr

See this could be the same comparison between Jagr and Lemieux; and Gretzky and Kurri.

RE: Jaromir Jagr

People say gretzky had all of this help because he played with so many great players. I think messier and coffey would have been great wherever they had played but a lot of those other guys benefitted a ton by playing with gretzky. When you look at Kurri who is in the Hall of Fame. He was never a dominant player (based on his stats) when he played for Jokerit in the Finnish league and he didn't get many points playing on the national team. If he helped Gretzky so much I would think that he would have dominated other leagues or tournaments that he played in as well.
I think Jagr is a much better player than Jari Kurri was but I wouldn't put him in the same category as Lemieux, Gretzky, Orr, Richard or Howe. He just isn't quite at the same level as those guys.

RE: Jaromir Jagr

He is right there in the conversation for top 5 active players. A lot of these young guys have come along but the fact that Jagr has scored for 15 years now and is still leading the league.
