RE: Kings re-sign Avery

My only question is why?

Avery is a Restricted free agent. If they decided to NOT sign him, they would have lost the right of him, and they wouldn't have been compensate. Now, they signed him and they will be able to exchange him if they want too for a moderate price.

Even though a lot of person hate Sean Avery, a young 40 point player with grit is somehow valuable.

RE: Kings re-sign Avery

He may be young and he may have gotten 38 points last season, but he's a moron on and off the ice and he's a leech in your dressing room. I can understand why they'd want to sign him and then trade him later on, but honestly, who in the league is going to want to take him off the kings hands? Especially since he's being highly overpaid at $1.1 milllion.
