Lang in Montreal

I propose to Lang to sign in Montreal. $3.5M a year. He's not at the top of his career, but he will do good for his old teammate Kovalev and get over his not that good last season with the Wings.
Do you think he will sign such a deal?

RE: Lang in Montreal

I think Lang would jump at the chance for $3.5M because I think thats overpayment. He's getting pretty one-dimensional as he gets older, but thats not to say he's a has-been. I think he's still good for 60 points or so, but I wouldn't pay him over $3M for those kinds of stats.

RE: Lang in Montreal

I don't think that it'S a good idea...we better sign Briere at 6 millions or even Yashin. For our two first centers, we have Saku Koivu and Chris Higgins. If we don'T sign a star center player, I don'T see why we would sign a old one who's at the end of his career.

RE: Lang in Montreal

Lang isn't worth that kind of money, so if he gets the offer he better take it.

I could see him getting overpaid in Atlanta or on the Island, as well. There are a few teams desperate for center depth.

He's in Chicago now... I guess Smolinski was their replacement of Lang.
