Leafs gives Raycroft a 3year contract

The Toronto Maple Leafs yesterday locked up their newly acquired goalie Andrew Raycroft to a three-year, $6-million (U.S.) deal. Raycroft, 26, came to the Leafs in a draft-day trade in which the Leafs sent goalie prospect Tuukka Rask to the Boston Bruins. Raycroft was the 2003-04 Calder Trophy winner as the National Hockey League's rookie of the year.

I think the leafs really made out good on this contract.

I think they Leafs got a great deal and have one of the best younger goalies in the net for at least 3 more years.
