Leafs to sign Lindros?

I hear 1 year, 750k....if he avoids injuries, its a steal. Also, I imagine his contract will have plenty of production incentives in it.

Even if he doesn't it's a steal .. We don't pay for injuries, insurance does !!

But in hockey, you had to take chances. Personnaly, I would sign it for a year! Leafs needs players to win the cup!

RE: Leafs to sign Lindros?

I wanted to sign him in Calgary for cheap + incentives last year...it was rumoured but he eventually chose the Leafs...

It's a good signing though, too bad Lindros has to play for 750k, he's more talented than that.

RE: Leafs to sign Lindros?

Everybody don't want to play against him because he's very good, but nobody wants him in his team beause he's always injured!
That's funny!

750k is cheap, but I'd still want a player that's reliable. Then again, since his past season was concussion-free then I suppose there's hope that he's getting to be less fragile... maybe.

It would have been a steal a couple of year ago. Eric Lindros isn't a dominant player anymore, not even a top 6 forward IMO. It's a good deal for Toronto, but far away from a steal.

Eddie Belfour at 4,56 Millions, that's a steal !!! (Toungue)

Lindros should retire... he'll do no good in the NHL with his injury problems.

Same could be said about Forsberg .

Compare 750K to Forsberg's 5.75M salary for the upcoming season.

If Lindros played like he did last year, then he's easily a steal . He carried the Leafs when Sundin went out in the begginning of the season, & with line mates Domi & Kilger for the most part.

He also put up decent numbers, 22 pts in 33 games . Some games of which he played injuried.

He's done plenty good with his injury problems.
