RE: MTL / PHX trade
I think it's a good trade for the Habs. Last year, Zednik wasn't productive anymore. And having lived for many years in Montreal, I can tell that he wasn't good anymore for the Habs system. Johnson looks like the big right forward that they are looking for. So I see the Habs winners in this transaction.

RE: MTL / PHX trade
Mike Johnson is the perfect replacement for Richard Zednik. Johnson is more suited for 3rd line duty. If wither Perezhogin or Kostitsyn don't show their offensive abilities at the training camp, Johnson will play on 2nd. If Prerz or Kost show their skills, Johnson on the third. He's also a good PK'er ... Montreal will be strong at PK team IMO.

Good trade for the Habs. Johnsson will be a good fill for Zednik.

My thoughts exactly. Johnson can now give Begin and Bonk a break.

Great deal for Montreal. Johnson for a fourth is a steal.

RE: MTL / PHX trade
I have to say, while montreal hasn;t made any "blockbuster" moves this offseason, they did the best in my mind of rounding out and streghning the team as a whole, another great move by Gainey,
who is quickly becoming my vote for Smartest GM

Gotta wait to see how the moves work out before he can be dubbed smartest gm. Right now that honor belongs to Jim Rutherford.
