RE: Marek Svatos
He might have had a shot, but like CofRed said, those injuries pretty much cost him the chance. I can't deny he had some decent potential though.

RE: Marek Svatos
he is defenitly a great young talent, but as pointed out above, injurys are going to be a problam, he could end up just being another great talent stolen from the game because of injurys..

In a fantasy league? Yeah, it's good gamble, because he's still young.
If you talk NHL, hell yeah! (Andrei Markov was drafted 6th round no?)

RE: Marek Svatos
So was Henrik Lundqvist...and Zetterberg/Datsyuk were both taken in the later rounds...It seems a lot of the gems that are found in the later rounds are European, so teams need to increase their scouts exposure to these European players.

Thats just plain silly. Teams don't need to increase their European scouting at all. I say other teams besides the Red Wings are doing an excellent job drafting Euros. I don't see any reason for them to send any more scouts across the pond.
... about Svatos, though. I think if he's healthy he has the chance to score 40 goals every year (he'll be playing along with some great forwards on Colorado). However, the health issue is a big concern for fantasy leagues and in real life will prevent him from making a lot of money.
