Montoya on the Block?
http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/3709
Would the New York Rangers settle for the sixth overall pick for Al Montoya? New York will probably take any top pick to move their former first-round goaltender who's been a very good AHL netminder in Hartford, but now finds himself wedged behind Henrik Lundqvist on Broadway. Problem is, the Oilers have Jeff Deslauriers and Devan Dubnyk on the horizon as young goalies. They don't need another young tender.
Lots of talk of trading Montoya, but I don't see it happening anytime soon unless the Rangers clearly get the better end of the deal. Montoya is tearing up the minors and they have no solid backup at the moment for Lundqvist. Why trade a future All-Star goalie unless you know you get something great back.
