RE: NFL goes to Canada?

so if this were to happen where would the bills play what is the seating capacity and how far off are we looking at will it be within the 5 year mark the article was discussing and if you live in Toronto if you want this team there i suggest you sell out every game the nfl owners wont join up with the cfl for 1 reason $$$$$$$$$$$ in the u.s. football is king i don't think that the nfl would get a big enough return on its investments on a sport that is second in Canada to hockey look at the expos and the blue jays both are some of the poorest teams in base ball so much so the expos no longer exist
as a foot ball fan if they can market it right and if they can get a good solid fan base it might work but to et that you have to field a winning team look at the Houston Texans half of the city goes for the COWBOYS the other1\2 is split between the titans (former Houston oilers ) and the Texans so not even 1\2 the town likes the home team and y is that you ask in the 5 years of their existance8-8 is their best record good luck TorontoCheergirl1 your gonna need it

RE: NFL goes to Canada?

Toronto will not need much luck in having a succesful NFL franchise in the city. Whether it comes from relocation or expansion a team would thrive in Toronto. Toronto does have troubles with attendance for Blue Jays games but there is a big difference in selling 81 baseball games and 8 football games. Playing in the division that they do makes it very tough they have finished 2nd or 3rd almost every season over the last decade and without have to play the yankees and red sox so many times per year they would have made the playoffs at least once over the last 5 years. The Jays are not a poor team they are right in the middle of the league in terms of payroll.
If the NFL comes to Canada it will hurt the CFL significantly.
A lot of people in the Toronto area already cheer for the Bills if the relocate and if they got an expansion team they would grow a fan base very quickly. As for the stadium they will be playing in the Rogers Centre formerly known as the Skydome which seats 50,000 for these games with the Bills. They would need to build a stadium for a full time team which would not be too difficult with people like Ted Rogers in the mix as possible owner.
Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America and will have no problem supporting a team.
