Ya, he's been with the stars since they played in Minnesota. Drafted 1st overall in '88.

I think it's awesome that Gretzky has more assists than Messier (Number 2 on the list) has points.

Lemieux is also an example.

There's also players like Koivu, Alfredson, etc that are good, and stay with the team. There's also players who are loyal to whichever team they play with, but just end up getting traded.

Gretzky may be the best of all time, but he never did anything like Messier did with the Rangers.

Messier just had an INTENSE will to win. That's what he basically did - he willed the Rangers to the Stanely Cup. Messier said it was so and so it was.

And wasn't Mike Richter a life-long Ranger until he was drafted in the expansion draft, but immdediately re-signed with the Rangers?
