Panthers, Wild talking trade?
TheFourthPeriod.com
The Panthers and Minnesota Wild could be discussing a trade that might send goalie Manny Fernandez to Florida, speculates the Palm Beach Post.
Panthers' coach/GM Jacques Martin and Wild GM Doug Risebrough are both at the world championships in Moscow, prompting speculation that the two sides are talking
Fernandez, who lost his starting position to Niklas Backstrom, is expected to be dealt if the Wild re-sign Backstrom, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
The Panthers are supposedly in the market for a new No.1 goalie.
Fernandez, 32, has two years left on his current contract. According to the Post, he is to earn $4.5 million next season and $4.75 million in 2008-09.

I just talked to a source that told me he feels that Gomez will be either a Flame or a Canuck on July 1, and that he would " bet his house on it." Anyone want a fine Mailbu estate?
Now he editteds it and changes it abit.
Scotty Gomez. I have been hearing several rumors regarding Scotty. A source today told me that he was perhaps only a 20% chance at returning. Teams that I included on the chart are the Canucks, Flames, Avalanche and Sharks. This will be fun to track for the next several weeks.
Brendan Shanahan. A trusted NY source told me Shanny is 30% to return to New York. Brendan had a stellar season and could return to Detroit, go to Anaheim, Ottawa, Montreal, or even Buffalo (depending on Drury amd Briere)
Nylander. It is about 60% that he returns to the Rangers. He has a player option, but I do believe that the Rangers will have to up that offer...The Red Wings are very interested, as are the Devils.
Another adjustment today...Don't count out Jason Blake to the Wild (e3)
