Replacing grey with orange in the team colors is beyond a horrible idea.

A little bit of color tweaking and it looks a lot better. The logo itself is fine, it's the color scheme that's bad.

I like this much much better. I only hope people who agree with me will write them about it and show this to them. ;-)

Orange has no place in the Sharks team colors. It was only ever there to begin with because it was the color of the hockey stick and nothing else.

Pacific teal, grey, black. These are all colors that actually have something to do with the team (Sharks). The secondary color should be red, if anything.

The triangle symbolizes the Red Triangle, which is the area where there is a high concentration of sharks on the northern California coast.

The Sharks are trying to copy the Ducks. They went orange and won a Cup and now San Jose wants to win a cup, so....

I do have to agree that the logo is fine but it's the colors that are awful together. I like the logo better with the gray - it just seems to fit better with all the other colors.

That's one of the big reasons many Sharks fans don't like it. Ducks jersey's are hideous. ;-)

The Ducks took on teal when the Sharks made teal popular and mainstream. Now the Sharks are taking on bright orange now that bright orange is a trendy color and part of the mainstream. (I'm not counting Philly, because the way they use orange is how orange should actually be used [dull orange]. They don't have shimmering jerseys that look like Liberace on ice, either.)

One of the popular opinions by young fans was that the Sharks colors were "so 1990s".

They want to appeal to a new younger audience, and they like "in your face graphics" and bright ugly colors. Blech. This is probably how people felt about teal when it first became popular too, though.

Teal and orange is just a bad combination, though. At least with the Ducks they put orange with other colors that belong with orange.

Oh well. Teams will always do this stuff to keep up with trends, try to bring the game to new generations and of course to get everyone to buy more overpriced merchandise. I can't blame them for trying. The Sharks need to make more money this year than they did last year where the team reportedly "lost" $5M (It should be noted that profits of the majority owner were up, though).

I like the 2nd one with the red eyes better. Like mentioned above, teal + orange isn't that great of a color combination.
