RE: New Skates!!
As a side not, we will put links on qnhl, telling you about special offers from skates stores. It will help you and help the forums at the same time if you buy through the links of the stores.

RE: New Skates!!
I not sure how much the heat fitting helped. The skates are nice though. I love them. My only regret is that I didn't go 1/2 size smaller.
I guess the true test will be in about a year to see if they hold up. I have heard the vapor boots break down fast.

RE: New Skates!!
Those are great skates they are the exact pair I have.
I had mine baked and it helps with the breaking them in part.
It's hard to notice but they do,
Also as a general rule always but skates 1/2 sixe smaller than you would, the shorter blade lenght helps you turn and stop better.
If you find that you are having trouble with your balance and things it is probaly cause the blade has a rocker on it. Meaning the blade of the skate is curved, it helps impove speed but can be hard for some people to have full balance. You can almost always get the guy at the pro shop to sharpen them without a rocker.
And I have had mine for over a year and they do start to breack up a bit, but mine are still fine, and I play 4-6 hours a week.
