NO TRADE
Before making your pick, be sure to know what's your team need (or will you go for the best available player?). All GM's should make their pick within 36 hours, or therefore I will picked for them (I really don't want to do this, I hope everyone will be able to make their pick in time). They should also send a private message to next one to pick.
REMEMBER, this thread should only be 31 post long (1 post for the rules, 30 post for the picks). ALL COMMENTS SHOULD GO IN THIS THREAD. http://www.qnhl.com/showthread.php?tid=586
All information on players can be download at the end of the post: it's the official media guide of the CSS and it's REALLY useful! Also, I created a thread in which ou can see a lot of prospects in action: http://www.qnhl.com/2006-Prospects-Videos-t-1360.html
With the 1st selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the St-Louis Blues are proud to select, from the US National U-18 Team, Defenseman Erik Johnson.

Erik Johnson is the total package. He's a powerful skater with an awesome accelation and smooth stride. He have excellent mobility and his vision is above any defenseman in this draft. His strong shot is deadly on the powerplay. Moreover, he's not afraid of using his body. He should be one of our most important assets for years to come.
With the 2nd selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins are proud to select, from the Peterborough Petes, Center Jordan Staal.
Height: 6-4
Shoots: Left
05-06 Season Stats: GP: 68 Goals: 28 Assists: 60 Points: 68 PIM: 69
Staal is another great Canadien player that we would like to have here in Pittsburgh. We hope we can develop him well enough to be a 2nd liner and a backup for Crosby. The Staal boys have been an Impact on the NHL already, with Jordans brother Eric already winning the Stanley Cup with Carolina. We, The Pittsburgh Penguins, hope to put another Staal's name on the Cup. Welcome to the Orginaization Jordan!
With the 3rd selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select, from the University of NOrth Dakota, CEnter/Winger Jonathan Toews.

Toews possesses excellent acceleration, agility, quickness and is an extremely smart player who is versatile and has played both wing and center equally well this season. He possesses a dangerous shot with a quick release and has the ability to make big plays and finish. He's good in faceoffs, plays in all game situations and is a very consistent hard working player who leads by example.
With the 4th selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Washington Capitols are proud to select, from the University of Minnesota, Centre Phil Kessel.
Height: 6'0'' Weight: 189 lbs Shoots: Right
A great centre for Ovechkin & Semin, and consider to be a top pick until recently. Kessel is a marvel to watch. He combines dazzling moves with excellent hockey sense, tremendous poise and confidence with the puck, a tireless work ethic, and a very professional approach to the game. Kessel is a player who can make those around him better and has the ability to make things happen. -HFBOARDS.COM
With the 5th overall pick in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Boston Bruinsare proud to select, from Bryans IF, Centre Nicklas Backstrom Height5'11" Weight183lb ShootsLeft
A great playmaking center with skills comparable to a smaller Joe Thornton. He would he really help them on the powerplay. The Bruins get a steal with who i expect to be the best foward of this draft.
With the 6th selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Blue Jackets Columbus are proud to select, from the Everett Silvertips Team, Center Peter Mueller.
Height: 6-foot-2 Weight: 210 lbs Country: United States Shoots: Right
Peter Mueller had deceptive speed and acceleration. He had a tremendous vision, which allow him to feeds his teammate well. His shot is precise and powerful and he isn't afraid of traffic. Muellzy his also very sound in his own zone. He will be the perfect two-way centerman for Nikolai Zherdev and Rick Nash.
With the 7th selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the New York Islanders are proud to select, from the Kladno, Michael Frolik.
Pos: RW
Height: 6-4

Mr. Frolik is an outstanding prospect that we are glad to have just drafted. We hope someday he will join our team and help lead us to victory. We hope with his skill we can produce more goals and help make it to the Playoffs once again, this year or next. Welcome the the Organization Michael!
With the 8th selection in the 2006 NHL prospect draft, the Phoenix Coyotesare proud to select, from Drummonville, CEnter Derick Brassard.

Derick is a very good skater with speed and mobility who is strong on his feet with good acceleration. HE also can beat defenders one-on-one
and has very accurate wrist and slap shots. He just loves to play hockey and competes every game, making many good plays deep in his own end to help get puck out when his defensemen get in trouble. A great prospect from the QUebec, YES!
