I don't like that plan... and you guys in Carolina just lost Gerber, Weight, and Recchi .
I'm talking current rosters. I wouldn't even want those guys.

Gerbers not damaged goods... you just lost your chance to regain the title of Stanley Cup Champions! You guys shouldnt of let him slip.
Anyways, sounds good Juls and elgillis. Im not sure when Ill be free because I cant plan the future. I am usally free on evenings, But the problem I would see with a live draft is if you set a time then people might be confused with the time zones and miss the whole draft.

One of us will try to help out with time zones and the different times. I don't know what time zone Julien is in, but I'm in the Central Time Zone so once we figure the time out, we'll try to figure out the time zone differences.

Yahoo is free. You will need a Yahoo ID though to sign in and participate in the draft and league, but signing up for a Yahoo ID is free so you don't have to worry about paying for anything. Just go to yahoo.com and towards the top of the page somewhere there is a link that says "Sign Up" or something similar. Click on it and you can create a new Yahoo account for free.

RE: Official Qnhl fantasy hockey league thread
Fot the one who want to know, The rules are the one that ELgillis wrote. THere will be a fantasy draft where we select regular players and a prospect draft where we draft prospect who where draft between 2003-2006. THe drafts orders will be randomize. If we change something in the rules, Elgillis or me will let you know. A few day before the draft, I'll post a thread with all the rules. If you have other questions, ask us!
I would prefer to avoid the idea of a prospect draft if that's alright. Prospect drafts are useful in keeper leagues where you will play for a while and watch the prospects develop but from what I gather this isn't a keeper league and that would be a bit of a waste of time. Also, it cuts down on the availability of players in the free agents.

I know Gerber is not damaged goods, I never said he was. He's a very good goalie. I know you're kidding partly but losing Gerber won't hurt their chance at repeating as he didn't even play much in the playoffs and when he did it wasn't very well for the most part. They didn't let him slip, they couldn't afford to keep him and that was that. He wanted to be a starter and got offered big money by the sens to do so. Why would he stay as a backup in Carolina for like a third of the pay? No way he would and he didn't.

The draft will more than likely be on players that are currently playing in the NHL. We'll see when the draft starts and post something to see when people are available to do the draft as well as posting the league name and password once it's set up so those who are playing can join us.
