Ottawa Senators trade rumors: Senators almost acquired Malone

The Sun claims Malone was devastated when he wasn't dealt. The Pittsburgh native already had his bags packed to come to Ottawa, but the Penguins were insisting the Senators give them Antoine Vermette and Brandon Bochenski in return.

The Senators apparently balked at the offer and shipped Bochenski to Chicago in exchange for Tyler Arnason.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Leafs are also supposedly very interested in Malone, offering center Nik Antropov.

Never knew about that before! You also discover that the Leafs got interested in the same player...coincidence Wink

The leafs don't even have a team anymore. There over for this season. I heard a funny joke in school today. It went something like this (I don't remember exactly)

'Hamilton can't get a real NHL team, because then Toronto would want one too.'

I thought it was funny Wink
