Panthers agree to Terms w/ Montador

Another good signing for the Cats. I am waiting to see what they can do this year without Loungo. I hoping they resign John Sim.

Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan announced today that the club has agreed to terms with D Steve Montador on a one-year deal.

Montador, 26, appeared in 51 games with the Panthers last season scoring one goal with five assists and 68 PIM. He was acquired from the Calgary Flames, along with Dustin Johner in exchange for RW Krisitian Huselius on Dec. 2, 2005. Prior to the trade he played in seven games with the Flames scoring one goal with 11 PIM. For his career, the Vancouver, British Coumbia native, has played in 145 career NHL contests with both Calgary (2001-05) and Florida (2005-06) registering 15 points (5-10-15) and 269 PIM.
