that's interesting. i'm just wondering if the sharks just wanted a draft pick or if they wanted a player in exchange as well. i guess we probably won't know.

Thats a good player for the struggleing penquins to get. I liked Ekmans play last season. Im sure he will be a welcome addition to the Penguins.

Some more info on Ekman:
Ekman has scored a total of 51 goals in his career
Ekman has 136 point
+27 in career
164 PIM

Good pickup for the pens!

(Patrick Ehelechner is the prospect goalie)

Now that they have Mark Bell, they no longer need Ekman, clears space and brings in a second rounder. if its pittsburghs, it would be a high pick, but I'm not sure who's 2nd rounder it will be

Just heard it's the 2nd rounder Carolina traded along with Kolanos and Nordgren for Recchi at the deadline.

Nils Ekman and Pat Ehelechner are two great addition to a young team like Pittsburgh. A late 2nd rounder is a bargain to them.

If you look at it, Pittsburgh havn't signed a lot of players, but with the trades they have made some far, their objective is clearly to make the playoff.
