Penguins sitting tight
Penguins GM Ray Shero does not plan on making any changes to his team (management or roster) in the near future, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The Penguins, who have gone 1-4-3 in their last eight games, currently sit 13th in the Eastern Conference.
"I don't want to be judging this team on points," Shero told the Post-Gazette. "I've said all along that we want to see improvement."
According to the paper, Shero is more concerned with finding out what the players, particularly the young ones, already on his depth chart can do, and how they might fit into the franchise's future.
Shero also has no intentions of replacing the club's coaching staff.
"That's not on my mind," he said. "It really isn't.
"I don't want to judge this coaching staff just by wins and losses, or anything like that. It's the first 25 or 30 games for (Chris) Therrien with a number of these players."
